    Karan Kapoor, Mr World Bodybuilding Contest Winner, Discusses His Fitness Goals And What Keeps Him Energised

    Karan Kapoor, a model and fitness influencer, won the Mr World 2022 bodybuilding competition in April of this year. The judges admired the young man from Kanpur, who also has a large number of followers on social media apps like Instagram and Moj, for his fitness levels and chiselled body. In an interview with Indulge, he discusses winning the title, his fitness journey, and what motivates him:

    How do you feel now that you’ve been named Mr World? What went into the preparation, and how long have you been preparing to compete in this competition?

    I’m honoured to have received the prestigious title of Mr World, which allows me to represent India on a global scale. It’s an honour to have represented my country, and I hope I’ve done it proud. I mentally and physically prepared for Mr World by being extremely conscientious about my nutrition, gym routine, and attending several workshops to improve my skills.

    What inspired you to take up fitness so seriously?

    My childhood jabs and criticism for being a big kid motivated me to pursue my fitness goals. It had a big impact on me at the time, so I started working out when I was in eighth grade, at the tender age of 13-14. After completing my 12th grade, I began training at home and going to the gym to strengthen my body. As a result of my efforts and dedication, I’ve been embracing fitness since 2008, and I now have a consistent career as a fitness model.

    How long did it take you to change?

    Nothing is easy. I am a firm believer in the value of hard work. To get to where I am now, I started at the bottom and worked my way up for about 15 years. However, there is no ultimate goal in fitness, so I’m still working hard for myself. My fat-to-fit transformation, on the other hand, took about a year, after which I began competing professionally in events.

    Is social media an important part of your life? Is it assisting you in achieving your goals?

    The internet has engulfed us all, and whether we like it or not, social media will always play an important role in our lives. When I first got serious about fitness, I started uploading photos and videos to the internet in order to inspire others to start their own fitness journey. I joined the Moj app in 2021, and my fame skyrocketed. My content was well-received by the audience, and it enabled me to inspire a large number of people. I posted exercise and nutrition advice on my Moj profile and have received a lot of positive feedback so far.
