Sleep is an essential part of our daily lives. A good night’s sleep allows the body and mind to recover from the day’s stress and gives us new energy to face the next day. It also allows the body to recover and the muscles to heal. However, not getting enough or proper sleep can make us more stressed and, as a result, ruin our energy for the next day.

With the covid pandemic, there is a high level of stress everywhere. People who are confined to their homes and dealing with their own problems are not getting enough sleep or falling into a deep sleep. This causes additional stress and, as a result, other illnesses.

Rujuta began with Vajrasana, in which she can be seen bending her knees and sitting on them while keeping her body straight. She also mentioned that this yoga asana can be performed with the help of support. She then progressed to Adhomukhoveerasana, in which she can be seen sitting on her heels and slowly stretching her upper body to her front, then bending it to touch her hands to the floor.

Rujuta can be seen later in the video performing Janu shirsasana, in which she can be seen touching one foot to the insides of her thighs and then bending her back with the help of a chair. Rujuta performed Suptabadhakonasana for her fans as the final yoga asana.

Rujuta went on to say that these yoga asanas should be done before going to bed. She also suggested that they be done on the bed or on a mat and that they are done for no more than two to three minutes at a time. These asanas help to induce sleep and de-stress the body.
