Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice: DIY Face Masks à la Malaika Arora!

Beauty and well-being, according to Malaika Arora, are about both inside and exterior care. As a result, it’s no surprise that the actor and mother is a proponent of at-home skincare and health therapies. To cleanse her complexion, the actress utilises cinnamon and honey face treatments. Cinnamon is a popular skincare ingredient, with effects ranging from acne reduction to gently exfoliate dead skin cells. However, cinnamon should be used with caution because it can cause irritation in certain skin types, so perform a patch test first.

Three methods to include natural components in your handmade recipes:

    Acne-prone skin face mask

Arora uses a face mask that blends cinnamon’s anti-inflammatory properties with honey’s microbiological properties. To make this, combine 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, 2-3 tablespoons honey, and a few drops of fresh lime juice (avoid using too much lime juice as it might irritate) until the paste forms. Apply the mask evenly throughout the face and pimple-prone areas for 10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water to reveal fresh, bright skin.

    Body exfoliation scrub

Cinnamon, because of its exfoliating characteristics, also makes an excellent body scrub in your at-home skincare arsenal. To make a paste, combine 1 tablespoon salt, 2 tablespoons almond oil/olive oil, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Use this combination as a body scrub every few days for a few weeks to show glowing skin. Because cinnamon is a powerful spice, use fewer amounts in your DIY recipes.

Deep moisturising mask for the face

Try this thoroughly nourishing and exfoliating face mask created with anti-microbial cinnamon and yoghurt if you want to brighten and emphasise your radiance. 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, 1 tablespoon yoghurt, and 1 tablespoon honey to form a thick paste. Apply it to your face for 10 minutes before rinsing with water. After that, apply moisturiser and you’re done.
