<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Researchers said in a 2021 study that self-care in a healthcare context involves the ability to care for oneself through:</span></p>

The new mother, who continues giving us glowing pre- and post-partum looks, discussed at length with her sister about her skin type, &#8220;skinsecurities,&#8221; and skincare routine.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Gangubai actress gave appreciation to her sister Shaheen for teaching her what she knows about skincare and the value of product components. The latter even graced the former a skin care kit admonition in 2019, that discussed in depth the breakdown of what her morning and evening regime should look like.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The opening of the video discussed the sisters&#8217; skin tones. The actor has combination skin with an oily T-zone, but her sister has severely dry skin, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne, sensitivity, and irritation, which is what her skincare routine was designed to address. The discussion then turned to serious skin issues. Then followed the short- and long-term skin objectives, which include self-care practices, glowing appearance, avoiding acne, and general preventative care. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A proper cleanser is the first step in any skincare routine. The first thing Alia does is wash her face with a mild cleanser that won&#8217;t remove the oils from her skin. Her go-to product is the effective Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing. Shaheen, on the other hand, splashes little water on her face in the morning but skips washing her face since she has very dry skin. She then moves right on to her second step. She does, however, twice cleanse her face during her evening ritual in order to thoroughly clean it.</span></p>
<h2><b>2. Followed by a toner</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Before moving on to the serum step, the actor utilises a toning mist rather than a toner to offer more moisture and nutrients. The mist is a good option because it&#8217;s simpler to use and the ingredients penetrate the skin more deeply than a typical toner. She uses the probiotic- and tri-ceramide-rich Byoma Balanced Face Mist. Probiotics help balance out your skin, even out your skin tone, brighten it, and work on minimising your acne, dry skin, inflammation, etc. while providing some additional moisture. <h2><b>3. Serum, the third step</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Serums are the ideal vehicle for incorporating actives into your routine. Shaheen enjoys treating herself to them. The first is a hyaluronic serum, which hydrates her dry skin and reduces dryness while also creating the look of plump skin by pulling moisture from the environment to the skin. An incredibly popular and effective humectant for dry skin, hyaluronic serum should be applied to wet skin and sealed in with a moisturiser. Another name for this is a moisture sandwich. Her favoured moisturising serum is Skinceuticals Intensifier, which includes various humectant molecular sizes to permeate the skin more deeply.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The next step is to use a ceramide serum to heal her broken skin barrier and nurture her skin. Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Recovery Serum with Avocado Extract is what she uses. Avocado is high in omega-3 fatty acids and lipids, which are essential components of a healthy skin barrier. She applies The Ordinary Coffee Solution on her under-eye circles. Caffeine brightens the under-eye region while also reducing puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Alia&#8217;s favourite serum is the Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid. Peptides are amino acids that stimulate collagen formation and give moisture to your skin, making it soft, firm, and plump. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Importantly, these serums focus on skin barrier nutrition and repair rather than powerful actives that might irritate delicate skin, which is always a wise choice.</span></p>
<h2><b>4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Use a moisturiser on top to seal in all of the serum&#8217;s advantages, as Alia and Shaheen do. Although the former like a lightweight moisturiser for her combination skin, the latter chooses a somewhat thicker moisturiser for her extremely dry skin. The new mother prefers the ceramide-rich D&#8217;You In My Defence moisturiser. In this case, the chemicals serve as both a hydrating and an occlusive agent.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Shaheen uses A-Derma Epitheliate A.H. Ultra Soothing Healing Cream, which her specialist recommended, and it works really well for sensitive skin without irritating it.</span></p>
<h2><b>5. SPF protection </b></h2>
