People have always found the royal family’s lifestyle choices and habits to be fascinating. People have been grieving and commemorating the late Queen Elizabeth II for her legendary reign since her death on September 8, this year. The late queen’s drinking habit is one of the remarkable facts that have been disclosed about her, and it is guaranteed to stun us all!
As strange as it may sound, the queen used to drink four drinks a day! And we’re not joking. It is accurate.
These were the drinks that the monarch drank every day. Darren McGrady, a former royal chef, said that the queen used to take her first drink soon before noon. The drink contains gin and Dubonnet, as well as a slice of lemon and plenty of ice. She used to really love this drink.
After finishing her dinner, the queen would take a piece of chocolate and a glass of wine. The Queen also enjoyed dry gin martinis, as reported by her cousin Margaret Rhodes.
Finally, the queen finished the day with a glass of champagne before retiring to bed. These four beverages are nothing short of a regal mixture of grandeur and grace!
It appears the Queen was mostly a gin drinker, and gin has several health and skin benefits. More gin equals fewer wrinkles, it’s a low-calorie beverage, and yes, it does help you live longer!
Not only that, but the monarch had a favourite type of cake that the Buckingham Palace chefs cooked especially for her. She had a slice of chocolate biscuit cake every day, and even if there was a small bit left over, the queen would eat it. She even had a senior chef join her on her trips so she could have her daily snack.
